Help & Tutorials

Answers on VAT, e-invoicing, billing and your data.

Getting started

How long does it take to send my first invoice?

About 3 minutes. You add your business details (TRN, IBAN, logo), add a customer, and create your first invoice — that's it.

Do I need a UAE trade license to use Draw.?

No. Draw. is a tool for managing your invoicing. You can use it whether you have a trade license or not — but you're responsible for ensuring your invoices comply with UAE FTA rules if you're VAT-registered.

Can I import invoices I've already issued?

Yes. Use the Import / Scan feature. You can upload a PDF or photo and Draw. extracts the fields automatically. Free tier: 3 scans a month, Starter 25 a month, Pro and above unlimited.

VAT and e-invoicing

Is Draw. compliant with UAE VAT?

Yes. Every invoice includes the mandatory FTA fields: TRN, sequential numbering, 5% VAT calculation, currency, supplier and customer details. Invoices cannot be deleted — you raise a credit note instead, which is what the FTA rules require.

What is PINT AE e-invoicing?

PINT AE is the UAE's e-invoicing data format, used by the Peppol-based Electronic Invoicing System established under Ministerial Decisions 243 and 244 of 2025. Voluntary adoption and the pilot programme opened on 1 July 2026. Mandatory adoption is phased by revenue: businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027, and businesses below AED 50 million go live on 1 July 2027, having appointed an Accredited Service Provider by 31 March 2027. Draw. auto-generates compliant UBL 2.1 XML for every invoice and credit note, and files through an accredited provider.

When does UAE e-invoicing become mandatory for a small business or freelancer?

1 July 2027, if your annual revenue is below AED 50 million. Before that, you must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 31 March 2027. Businesses at AED 50 million or above were in the earlier wave, with ASP appointment by 30 October 2026 and go-live on 1 January 2027. Adoption has been voluntary since 1 July 2026, with no penalties for voluntary adopters ahead of their own mandatory date. The rules currently cover business-to-business and business-to-government transactions; business-to-consumer invoices are out of scope for now.

Will Draw. submit my e-invoices to the FTA for me?

Draw. is a Corner 1 source system — it generates the XML and hands it to your chosen Accredited Service Provider. Submission to the FTA happens through the ASP. You configure your ASP under Settings, E-Invoicing.

What happens if I am not ready by my e-invoicing deadline?

Administrative penalties for e-invoicing non-compliance are set out in Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025, which is a separate instrument from the Ministerial Decisions that establish the system itself. Penalties do not apply to voluntary adopters before their own mandatory date, which is why adopting early costs nothing and removes the deadline risk. Check the current penalty schedule with the Ministry of Finance or your tax adviser before relying on any figure.

Why don't I see VAT 0% as the default?

The UAE standard rate is 5%. You can change a line item to 0% or Exempt for specific cases such as exports or designated zones, but the default reflects most use cases.

Billing and plans

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. We don't handle your card details directly — Stripe does.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Settings, Billing, Manage plan. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

What happens when I hit my Free plan invoice limit?

You can't create new invoices, but everything you've already created stays accessible — no data is hidden or lost. Upgrade anytime to unlock more.

I'm a founding member — what does that mean?

Founding-member pricing is locked in for as long as your subscription stays active. Cancel and resubscribe later, and you get the then-current public price.

Data and security

Where is my data stored?

On Supabase infrastructure (PostgreSQL on AWS). All connections use TLS encryption, and database backups are encrypted at rest.

Can I export my data?

Yes. The Ledger has a CSV export, and you can download any individual invoice or credit note as PDF or XML at any time. We don't lock you in.

What happens if I delete my account?

Your data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law — UAE VAT records, for example, must be kept for 5 years.

Are share links safe?

Each share link contains a 48-character random token. You can revoke any link at any time from the invoice detail page. Anyone who had the old link loses access immediately.

Troubleshooting

My customer didn't receive the email — what do I do?

Check your spam folder first, then ask your customer to do the same. If it is still missing, use the Share link or Download PDF buttons on the invoice and send it manually via WhatsApp or your own email client.

The OCR scan got something wrong.

OCR is good but not perfect. The review page lets you edit every field before saving — confidence dots (green, amber, red) flag fields that may need attention.

I can't log in.

Try the Forgot password link on the login page. If you are still stuck, use the support widget or email [email protected].
